Recreational Program

For individuals interested in learning about dance and growing their passion, recreational classes follow weekly classes where students learn movements based on their class and age. They work from September to June learning movements, combos, and a routine they get to present at our year end Recital!

Our recreational classes are between 30 to 60 minutes long depending on the age of the dancers. We offer many different styles starting at the age of 4 years old. Dancers between the ages of 18 months and 3 years are welcomed to participate in our twinkle toe classes which are introductory class to dance, more information below.

Students will be placed into one of our 7 groups depending on their age:

6 months to 24 months - Parent & Tot

18 months to 3 years - Twinkle Toes

3 to 5 years - PeeWee

4 to 6 years - Cuties (For experienced dancers)

6 to 8 years - Mini

9 to 11 years - Junior

12+ years - Intermediate/Senior

Programs Ages 6 Months to 5 Years

Parent & Tot Classes

During the week, we offer 30 minute parent & tot classes. We have 2 age groups, 6 to 12 months and 12 months to 24 months. Parent & Tot classes are a chance to give parents and babies a chance to learn some movement while having fun. We split parent & tot classes into 2 sessions held throughout the season; the fall session running from September 6th to December 13th and the winter session running from January 5th to June 6th. Please see our schedule for class days and times.

Mother and Son on Yoga Mat
Twinkle Toes

Twinkle Toes is a class for our youngest independent dancers aged 18 months to 3 years to give them a chance to have fun and explore the basics of movement and dance. Classes are high energy and include fun props such as shaker eggs, scarves, parachute, fusion balls, ribbons, and more. These classes give the young dancers a chance to develop physical skills through movement and musicality. Classes are offered in sessions running for 8 to 14 weeks throughout the season. Please click below for more information on sessions.

PeeWee classes are the age where dancers can start exploring the different styles of dance including; ballet, jazz, tap, acro/tumblers, and hip hop. Like the twinkle toe classes, PeeWee is offered in sessions to allow students to explore different styles throughout the season. Please click below for more information on sessions. PeeWee classes are offered between the ages of 3 to 5 years.

Cuties

For our experienced dancers ages 4 to 6 years, we have a cutie age group. We only recommend these classes for dancers who know styles they like as well as dancers who have experience. Cutie classes are 45 minutes in length rather than the 30 minute PeeWee classes. Dancers will be building off of foundations from previously learned moves. Cutie classes are not run in sessions and run for the entire dance season of September to June.
