About Miss Becca
Becca began her dance journey at the age of 3 and has been involved in the dance world ever since. She has trained both recreationally and competitively in the styles of tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, pointe, and modern. Becca achieved high marks in multiple RAD ballet exams, CDTA jazz exams, as well as PAEC tap exams. Throughout her time at the studio, Becca often assisted in many classes which is where she fell in love with the idea of teaching. Over the years both in and out of the studio, Becca had many amazing opportunities to attend workshops and conventions as well as work with established teachers and choreographers including Mark Samuels, Juliana Kelly, and David Cox.
When Becca is not teaching dance, she is busy working in the preschool room at a YMCA Child Care Centre in Burlington. In her post-secondary studies, Becca has obtained her diploma in both Child and Youth Care as well as Early Childhood Education and is now working as a full-time Registered ECE.
Becca specializes in teaching and choreographing tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop with many of her routines winning special awards and overall titles. She is certified in Muv Method Stretch Solution Level 1 and is working towards the Affiliate Teacher Training through Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC) and obtaining the Tap Teacher Syllabus Training through Tap Dance Centre — both of which are happening this summer. Becca is extremely passionate about finding a healthy balance between discipline and fun while keeping the studio a positive, safe, and loving environment where the dancers are able to fully bloom into their true selves.
